If there are any early adopters out there that know what they are doing, and already have their micro / PodBreakout / etc. for a booter dongle, then I put together a brief wiki page on how to prepare your iPod touch 2G for use with the dongle as well as (the obvious) what to make your dongle send to boot the device. Again, as I said on the wiki page, if you don’t know what you are doing, I am sure the devteam tutorial is going to be much nicer than mine, this was just written in 2 minutes, so that anyone that knows what they are doing but just don’t know their way around iBoot, won’t be held back.

EDIT: MuscleNerd made a good point. If you are on 2.2+ OTB, then this would not work for you, so you would want to just wait for the devteam tutorial.
ya dude, stfu
lol I did it manually. Then manually again to add installer. then Manually again when I thought it was bricked. Then with dfu. It was easy. Then manually again because something scrued it up. true story
Don't worry, lubsub will kill your usb ports, it happened to me. reboot computer and they will be fine. Then reinstall lubsub and it will work this time
