Just to note, anyone that tries to use LogoMe or any applications that have a similar function will fail. The LLB patch using our 24kPwn exploit is a tad different than the way that the normal Pwnage patches are done, so there is no way to make it work even with putting a new FirmwareBundle in it for the iPod touch 2G. I don’t know if there are any similar programs, but if there are, then if the creator is reading this, all that needs to be done is you must make it so the 24kPwn patch is applied directly to the LLB (encrypted) file, versus unpacking / decrypting it then repacking / encrypting it. We do not need to patch the RSA check since our method jumps straight to decrypting and executing LLB when bootrom is parsing it, the bootrom RSA check never gets called this way. If you bought a “Slipstream”, you may or may not have to do things differently due to their sloppy implementation of 24kPwn.

Hey chronic yo dude we all would like some badass jb apps like the waves app a simple jb app that everyone would like. somthing like vWallpaper would be awsome! instead of video wallpapers why not make a jb app where we can change are lockscreen to animated and download animations for it from the app. so when we have the animated locksreen on the animation will show up on the lockscreen wallpaper/battery image and when your syncing in progress locksreen. It would defenetly bring more people to your site!

It's not always bad to start anew. Sorry about that bit of bad luck though, it really is a pain.
As far as GUI's go, I'm sure one will turn up eventually. But if not, I'm sure eventually the iPod touch 2G will be added to the PwnageTool and QuickPen flows.

Use quickfreedom to create an ipsw with your boot logo. Then get the img3 file and place it in an untethered nor. Restor with nor flash only in itunes. You won't lose data

just jailbreak with quickfreedom
i jailbroke my 2g with “tytool,” tysiphonehelp's gui for macs. it was as easy as putting it in dfu mode, going into tytool and clicking a button to give it the white screen, then went into itunes and restored with the custom firmware that was included in the download file. it was extremely simple.
