I wouldn't call it the “4G” unless it's announced it has connectivity WITH the 4G network. The way I see it right now is it's going to be like the…iPhone 3G 3G

  2. Pklord says:

My volume rocker is acting strange. When I try to get the volume to go up with it, I have to push REALLY hard on the up side, it's ok when I turn the music down though.

    Any help?

  3. callmebam says:

If you have a case or cover try taking it off and seeing if it's easier.

  4. Mac says:

I wear a leather case to protect it when I'm out, but I take it off at home, and when it's off it's still just as hard.
Any way I can like open it and clean it without doing any damage?

  5. Mac says:

Oh yeah, I'm Mac on my iPod, Pklord on my comp =P

  6. callmebam says:

I don't know if cleaning it will do anything. It sounds to me like it was faultily constructed (or maybe dropped?) and you may have to go get a repair. The button on the inside of the iPod probably got lodged deeper towards the center of the iPod, which would make it hard to push through the rocker. So, if you're extremely keen with tools and extremely careful, you COULD open it up and set the internal button in the correct place. If that's even the issue=P

  7. Mac says:

I'm not going to risk opening it up I guess.

And do you seriously expect me to bring a jailbroken iPod to the apple store? They would be like WTF HAX, and just restore the shit out of my baby cakes for $200.

  8. callmebam says:

Never said go to the Apple Store. Just said “repair.”

    Others are capable, too.

  9. callmebam says:

    Just thought it was interesting…

    http://developer.apple.com/iphone/program/sdk/i...

Perhaps a Tap Tap Revolution ressurection?

  10. Mac says:

I don't know anyone, who or what were you thinking of?

  11. sam says:

well i have a problem and by mistake i dropped my ipod touch and the screen cracked so can i get it repaired i might post the image of my ipod if u want

  12. lovinmyjailbroken2g says:

    thats what she said… BAZING!

  13. lovinmyjailbroken2g says:

so i was wondering is there anyway i can remove the video app from my springboard? the poof app wont let me do it and i can use musicplayerflip becuase of the dock i use for my ipod doesnt play the music with that, so anybody know how i can remove it?

  14. lovinmyjailbroken2g says:

    cant use musicplayerflip*

  15. callmebam says:

    A) Jailbroken? If so, restore to factory settings
    B) Same exact thing happened to me so I just took it to Apple and I had to pay half of the full price for a new one (same specs) because that was going to be cheaper than a full repair. Apparantly=P

  16. callmebam says:

No one in particular because I've never used them. But just google it, I suppose.

  17. SiriusDj says:

Damn, the reply button broke again. (Probably just for me)

    In reply to callmebam:

Well, everyone seems to call it 4G but I suppose. What is 4G anyway? Is it like an upgrade to 3G internet?

    :)

  18. callmebam says:

The reply doesn't work on comments that you find by pressing the “Show more comments…” button. And I don't know a lot about the 4G network, I've just seen a few comercials advertising phones that connect to the “4G network.”

  19. bearsman34 says:

ive only seen 4g stuff on sprint commercials so we shall see what at&t does

  20. callmebam says:

Right. It's not as “huge” as the 3G network, but I'm sure it will be.

  21. callmebam says:

My friend insisted on jailbreaking his own iPod. Guess what he did? That's right. Tethered=P

  22. xxjailbreakmexx says:

  24. noobie says:

I know im far behind, but i have a quick question. I just used redsnow .3 for windows and i think successfully jailbroke my ipod. All the stuff in the program finished, and the pineapple came up, and all of that finished. Then it came up with the usb cord –> itunes logo. I think it means im in DFU mode, and itunes is telling me i have to restore, but im pretty sure i shouldnt. pleaseee help

  25. callmebam says:

That's not DFU Mode, that's Restore Mode. You have to restore, then immediately re-jailbreak, then you can sync your stuff.

  26. noobie says:

im restoring but its downloading an “ipod update” does that mean i wont be able to jailbreak

  27. callmebam says:

I think what you did was jailbreak on a firmware that wasn't 2.2.1, probably 2.2. So yeah, download the firmware update, then you'll have 2.2.1 and be safe to use redsn0w 0.3.

  28. noobie says:

your the man dude thanks. worked 100%

  29. callmebam says:

    No problem. Glad it worked.

  30. sensfan019 says:

    ahaha thats hilarious :P
    good one

  31. noobie says:

    alright, im back.

so i followed the appshare/installous instructions, and supposedly now appshare is just in installous. So when im in installous, i go through all the games and stuff and download them and then hit install, and then it says it finishes installing, and i cant find the game / icon to click on. Also, is there a way to get more downloadable stuff from cydia.

THanks, im really dumb, haha Thanks all for the help

  32. callmebam says:

Chronic has asked before to refrain from discussing warez here. Please ask elsewhere.

  33. noobie says:

asdjjnas i dont know anywhere else to go lmao

  34. Tom says:

First of all, a big thank you for RedSn0w!

Now, I have a small problem concerning synchronizing photos to a jailbreaked iPod.
Whenever i check the “Sync photos from:” check box under the “Photos” tab on iTunes, my iPod hangs on “Sync in Progress” and stays like that until i manually cancel the sync. None of the photos are copied to the iPod.
If i uncheck the check box then the sync process goes on fine.

I get this problem with iPod Touch 1G and 2G!

    Any ideas? somebody?

  35. Tom says:

Solved it. When i change the folder for syncings, say, instead of 'My Pictures' i choose 'C:Temp', then it works fine. Weird.
    Thanks anyway!

  36. Dark_Link says:

For the guy who can't see the games he installed (yes my spelling fails)did you had the apps in folders using the app catorgories before? If you did try to use sb settings to unhide them. If not and your shure their installed then try sb settings to unhide them. Also don't forget you can only have 128 apps total on the screen unles you use a hack like five rows. Hope this helps 3)

  37. sockaplaya22 says:

any speculation as to when 3.0 and the new ipods/ipones will be released…

  38. Dark_Link says:

it hast to be soon like a couple weeks. apple is just really having alought of problems with the push notifactions. expect there to be 1 or 2 more betas

  39. pimpedalil says:
